About Me
My Story
I was that parent whose baby slept well from 4 months. The one who felt secretly (and slightly guiltily) smug at baby groups when the conversation turned to sleep. Then, everything changed….
At three we moved our son to a toddler bed and what followed was a year of split nights. He'd wake at 2am, bright-eyed and ready to negotiate, while I was heavily pregnant with our second baby. We tried everything. I dread to think how many nights of sleep we lost over that year. We were in the trenches of sleep deprivation, with no idea how to dig ourselves out. Realising that we desperately needed help beyond Google, we finally decided to work with a sleep consultant, which changed everything. His sleep settled, the split nights became less frequent and eventually disappeared.
As a parent who has been through intense sleep deprivation, staring at the ceiling at 3am, wondering how something so small can be so completely all-consuming, I want to help other parents in this phase of life, enabling them to make clear decisions, allowing them to be the best versions of themselves.
Becoming a mum taught me how quickly your identity can quietly disappear and how easy it is to feel overwhelmed, guilty, and torn between meeting your child’s needs and protecting your own wellbeing. However, I realised how important it is to still work on yourself. Space to recharge, to just be without someone needing something. Wanting that isn’t selfish. Wanting your children to sleep independently isn’t wrong, and you should never be made to feel guilty about that.
My Approach
I'm not here to hand you a one-size-fits-all method and wish you luck. I'm here to listen, to understand what your family actually needs, and to support you through the peaks and the troughs.
My room-based approach (no closing the door and hoping for the best) is built around my core belief that independent sleep and responsiveness can coexist. And independent sleep doesn't always mean putting your baby down and walking out of the room.
As a Certified Sleep Consultant trained by The Sleep Consultant Academy, with additional safe sleep training through The Lullaby Trust, I bring the knowledge to back up the approach, and the personal experience to know it actually works.
You might be a first-time parent navigating the newborn weeks, have a toddler who's decided to change the rules, or be expecting again and wondering how you can manage nights with two. Whatever stage you are at, I offer support without judgment, without pressure and an understanding of what it’s like to be in the trenches of sleepless nights.
I consider the whole picture, assessing your child's sleep patterns, your daily routine, your worries, your goals. From there, I build a step-by-step plan that's specific to your family, not a template with your name at the top. I'm with you throughout, available to answer questions, talk through wobbles, and adjust the plan as things shift.
